Lorrie Sheppard is an established fluid artist based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Drawing on a love of nature her art elicits feelings of landscapes, oceans, and the beauty of the night sky.

Lorrie uses a combination of talent, knowledge, and experimentation with new techniques and old, to make one of a kind works of art.

"The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."

Art is a feeling, a memory, a place, a vision. It is different for every viewer. What a wonderful feeling it is when someone is touched by something you've created. Enjoy!

Fluid art, or acrylic pouring as it is also known, is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints mixed with various pouring mediums, which then react with each other to create organic free-flowing abstract compositions.

When poured onto a surface or a canvas, the imbalance of paint densities, and properties, create some visually stunning and often interesting effects.

Fluid art is not new, but the techniques are constantly being changed, and challenged by some very creative artists creating new techniques of their own.
